AEInnova at Climate Change Mitigation in Energy Intensive Industries event

Our president, Dr. Raúl Aragonés, and our CEO, David Comellas, have attended the LIFE platform meeting on climate change mitigation in energy intensive industries in Utrecht, the Netherlands (26-27 September 2018).

The meeting is hosted by LIFE OPTIMELT (http://lifeoptimelt.com/announcement.htm), a project that is recovering waste heat in glass manufacturing, and is organised in cooperation with the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) and the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA).

The two-day gathering included plenary sessions on the policy context, industry commitments and technological solutions; workshops; a poster session; and field visits to the OPTIMELT project at the Libbey Leerdam glassware factory and Tata Steel’s Horizon 2020 project, HIsarna, both in the Netherlands.

Meeting oil refineries in Germany

AE Innova presenting our technology in Nynas AB oil refinery plant in Hamburg, Germany. This former Shell refinery is one of the biggest in the country that the Swedish oil company incorporated in 2016. Different scenarios have been analyzed with their reliability head.  

AEInnova has also visited the reliability staff in the oil refinery of Raffinerie Heide GmbH in Brunsbuttel, North of Germany. Summary of the meeting: complete interest in our technology. Both hardware and software (DAEVIS IoT dashboard) should be easily integrated into their facilities. 

It has been a pleasure to get to know these large refineries from the inside, and we have also made 6 new contacts.

Revolució 4.0

David Comellas in CatRadio

David Comellas, Aeinnova CEO,  along with Yolanda Pérez  presented our technology in the radio show Revolució 4.0 de CatRadio.  Revolució 4.0 is a reference program for entrepreneurs and digital transformation, was released in February 2017 and achieved more than 24,000 unique users after twenty programs issued.

 

A very good experience to spread the word about Energy Harvesting techniques and our HEAT-R Life project.

Startup Ole Entrepreneur’s Fair

AEInnova in Startup Olé

Startup Olé has become a benchmark event for the international tech-entrepreneurial ecosystem, and its fourth edition is expected to be the biggest and most impactful ever. A place where meaningful connections will be made with ALL the key players at European and international level.

With the continuous support of Startup Europe (European Commission), Startup Olé 2018 will do what it does best: showcasing startups and providing them with the right connections (Accelerators, Investors, Public Administrations, Policy-Makers, Universities, Talent, etc.). It will also provide a forum where startups can share experiences and develop synergies so that they can grow together.

Aeinnova was there and, once again, our experience was very good: lots of contacts and opportunities to spread the word of Energy Harvesting from Waste Heat even before King Philip VI!

HEAT-R at 4YFN

Aeinnova participates in 4 Years from Now (4YFN)

4YFN is the startup business platform of Mobile World Capital Barcelona that enables startups, investors, corporations and public institutions to discover, create and launch new ventures together.

For us it has been a great opportunity to contact other companies in the ecosystem of sustainability, to present our products and disseminate the LIFE project. In this sense, we physically carry a HEAT-R pilot that caught the attention of a good part of the people who approached our booth.

Finally, we got close to a hundred contacts, with what we can consider that it was a resounding success.

AEInnova goes to Japan in a Tech Mission

AEInnova has participated in a technological mission organized by the CDTI (Spain) and NEDO (Japan).
With an exquisite planning, we had the opportunity to see the business ecosystem of Japan and share experiences that have been very enriching.

On the other hand, we have been able to present our technology, especially our EU project, HEAT-R, which has generated a lot of expectation and has allowed us to contact the most important thermoelectricity companies in Japan.

Without a doubt, it has been a great technological and commercial experience.
